Krista Bennett DeMaio

Krista Bennett DeMaio is a longtime beauty and health journalist and former magazine editor with more than 20 years of experience. She has held staff roles at Redbook, OK!, and Shape, and later served as a senior editor at The Skin Cancer Foundation. Her work has appeared in Women’s Health, Oprah Daily, Allure, Cosmopolitan, Prevention, HealthCentral, and many other national outlets. She is also the founder of Pretty Local, a Long Island–based platform covering beauty, wellness, and the pros behind them. She lives in Huntington, New York with her husband and three daughters, who are already enthusiastic about SPF and good skincare.
