For most runners, losing a shoe mid-race would mean pulling out and feeling disappointed when the letters ‘DNF’ appear next to your name. Yet for others, it means powering on, despite the consequences.
In a Tweet that has now gone viral, Harvard University student Kieran Tuntivate shared the aftermath of running after losing a shoe 400m into his 3K track race.
The initial photo shows the cross-country runner leading the race, with one shoe on. Next to this, Tuntivate has shared a photograph of his foot, looking rather worse for wear after the run.
Kudos to Kieran for being one of the toughest runners on the internet, wishing you a speedy recovery.
