FRESH OFF A strong run of The Pitt—which is renewed for a second season—Noah Wyle is in the midst of a second act. The 54-year-old actor has leveled up his everyman on-screen image for more character-driven work, stepping confidently into a new era of roles—and, just as notably, a more refined personal style. You can see it on recent press runs and throughout this past awards season, where’s been showing up in a steady lineup of well-cut suits that feel a lot more put-together than what we’ve seen from him before.

That evolution was on full display at his Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony, where the actor received his star dressed like a guy who knows exactly where he stands. For the milestone moment, he tapped one of our favorite menswear brands Todd Snyder, wearing a harbor blue Italian suede-linen suit cut in a tailored slim fit. The texture did most of the talking: lightweight and breathable thanks to the linen, but elevated with that soft, tactile suede finish that gives it a richer feel. He kept the rest of the look clean with a white button-up and textured, crocodile-embossed loafers. When the tailoring is on-point and the fabric has a little texture, you don’t need much else.

Pros

  • Breathable, comfortable fit in warmer weather
  • Drapes neatly on the body
  • Fabric is treated to be less prone to wrinkling
  • Sueded for a smooth hand-feel

  • Only comes in two colors
Fabric100% Linen
Sizes36R—46L
ColorsRaisin, Harbour Blue

And that’s really the takeaway here. Sure, Todd Snyder sits at a premium price point, but Wyle’s look is pretty easy to pull off. As a style editor, I cover a lot of fashion and see the full spectrum—from runway to mall brands—but not everything I recommend or wear needs to be expensive to work. When I’m thinking about solid, reliable tailoring at more accessible price points, I often go to brands like SuitSupply, J.Crew, and Bonobos. You can also find strong, modern suits at places like Banana Republic, Uniqlo, or even Zara if you’re careful about fit and fabric. You can certainly own Wyle’s suit, but if it’s out of your price range, I’ve rounded up some more affordable alternatives that give the same effect.
