- L.L.Bean’s highly anticipated 2026 Japan Edition Collection is finally available online and in select retail stores.
- The collection includes over 20 styles and colors.
A new oversized take on the classic Field Jacket and funky new T-shirts highlight the list.
L.L.BEAN’S MOST anticipated drop of the season is officially live on its site. There’s only one caveat—stock is flying off the shelves.
The 2026 Japan Edition is officially live, and similarly to last year’s first-ever monumental drop, it’s been a smash hit. Back by popular demand, this is the second year L.L.Bean has done the collab, which celebrates the anniversary of the company’s under-the-radar Japanese division, which opened its doors in Tokyo in 1992.
The collection features over 20 styles and colors, though many are already out of stock online. The good news? The collection is also available at 12 brick-and-mortar locations, including its flagship store in Freeport, Maine, and select East Coast locations.
The new collection features a blend of new styles, exclusive oversized fits, and spring-ready outerwear and tees. The T-shirts, in particular, feature bold, bright colors and designs unique to L.L.Bean Japan. It’s a cultural crossover event that only comes once a year, so it’s no surprise things are selling out fast. We listed some of our favorite in-stock items below, but we also included participating retail locations at the bottom in case you get FOMO.

Fan favorites like the classic Field Jacket are reimagined to take a more style-forward approach. We’re huge fans of the Prospect Harbor Field Coat, which features a boxier, oversized build and strays away from the original Field Coat’s workwear-coded construction. The Japan Edition Roxbury Jacket is another outerwear highlight, while two iterations of an oversized tee—the Dover Foxcroft Tee and the 1980 Catalog Short-Sleeve Trout Tee—offer summer-ready options. They’re all available in both unisex and women’s sizing.
If you do plan on visiting one of L.L.Bean’s pop-up locations, there are some perks. Each location will have pop-up-exclusive Japan Edition Totes and a Carmel Short-Sleeve Pocket Tee. However, I encourage you to do so, sooner rather than later as sizes are already going quick.
