EVERY HOLIDAY SEASON for the past decade, REI has shut its doors on Black Friday. Instead of holding a Black Friday sale, the outdoor retailer encourages customers to #OptOutside by getting in nature and on an adventure. This Black Friday marks 10 years of that. But, the good thing for you and your holiday shopping is that REI still has its deals section going. While the REI holiday sale (its biggest sale of the year) wrapped up earlier this week, I was able to still find some decent savings in the massive sale section.
Sorting through all of that can be a little overwhelming. Do keep in mind that REI purchases won't ship until tomorrow, and that while there are still some good deals there, the best savings of the year just wrapped up. But I dug through and found 12 standout deals below.
REI Black Friday Deals 2025
One of the top finds is multiple colors of the Blundstone Classic Chelsea Boots for 14% off. While that discount isn't a large sum, Blundstone's rarely go on sale. This is also the same discount Blundstone is running on its own site today.
REI's in-house brand REI Co-Op is a very under-appreciated gear offering. And the Trailmade 20 Sleeping Bag fits the bill here at 30% off. It's a classic mummy shape, with a rating down to 21 degrees. It's diverse in that it has an insulated hood with a drawstring cinch that can fit most camp pillows. Under $85, you're getting a really solid bag for a price where the quality usually isn't there.
A few other standout deals are the JBL Flip 7 (a 2025 Outdoor Awards winner), the Garmin Fenix 8 AMOLED ($250 in savings!), and the Danner Mountain 600 ID GTX (a rough suede and GTX version of our best hiking boots). Dig around and find that next piece of outdoor gear for a steal!

The outdoor retailer has closed 190+ store locations (while giving all employees a paid day) and encourages customers and members to #OptOutside for the day. REI does run a holiday sale from November 14 to 24 in which customers received up to 40% off outdoor gear.

For the holiday sale, REI members get an extra 25% off one eligible Outlet item with the code CYBER2025 until December 1. That's not all though.
REI members also receive a 10% dividend on most in-store and online purchases, as well as receiving discounts on gear rentals and during REI's best annual sale events (like the holiday sale). That $30 can easily pay for itself in just one visit!
