Friend of Men’s Health, creator of our ‘Beginner’s Guide to Hybrid Training’, and hybrid athlete extraordinaire Fergus Crawley is taking on his latest challenge – and it might be one of the most open invitations to adventure we’ve seen in a while.
Starting April 30 and finishing May 9, Crawley will attempt 10 iron-distance triathlons in 10 consecutive days, across 10 cities in the UK and Ireland. That’s a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and a full marathon – every day, for 10 days.
But unlike most feats of endurance theatre, this one isn’t built around exclusivity. Quite the opposite.
What Is Project TENacity?
Project TENacity is designed to be joined.
‘This project isn’t about my individual performance, but rather about your participation,’ Crawley explains. And that’s the hook. You don’t need to be eyeing up a full-distance triathlon to get involved. You can join for the swim, ride a portion of the route, run a PB distance on the track – or take on the full challenge. Just turn up, move and contribute.
Each stop – from Edinburgh through to London – has been structured to make that possible. Swims take place in controlled pool environments, bike routes sit on closed circuits or park loops, and runs are based on tracks or accessible green space.

In other words: this isn’t Kona. Project TENacity is about community and accessibility.
Why Fergus Crawley Is Taking on 10 Iron-Distance Triathlons
Which, for Crawley, is the point.
The challenge marks 10 years since a suicide attempt that, by his own admission, left him searching for purpose. In the years since, he’s used physical challenges to rebuild that sense of direction – including a 24-hour, half-a-million kilo squat effort symbolising the number of men lost to suicide globally each year.
Along the way, he’s raised over £100,000 for Movember and helped open up conversations around mental health with thousands.
TENacity is the next iteration of that mission – bigger, longer, but also more inclusive.
How Project TENacity Supports Mental Health
Crucially, the project is tied to impact. It’s raising funds for Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), with every £12.20 entry fee funding a potentially life-saving call.
At the time of writing, over £7,000 has already been raised, with more than 300 people signed up to take part in some capacity.
How to Join Project TENacity
There’s a tendency to view huge endurance challenges as something to watch from the sidelines. Spectator sport. But Crawley is opening the doors and actively encouraging people to get involved.
You can go all-in and test yourself against the full distance. Or you can simply turn up, move your body and be part of something that matters.
There’s one thread running through it all – beyond the mileage and the endurance suffer-fest – a simple idea: doing hard things together means more than doing them alone.
You can join Crawley in the following cities.

- May 1 – Glasgow
- May 2 – Belfast
- May 3 – Dublin
- May 4 – Liverpool
- May 5 – Manchester
- May 6 – Leeds
