Why Ed Sheeran Shaved His Head
Sheeran shared the update with a caption explaining the decision: ‘Yes I’ve shaved my hair. I wanted to shave it to signify a fresh start. A lot of new beginnings in my life at the moment. I love it, thinking of keeping it this way.’
While he didn’t go into detail, he also referenced a recent health setback. ‘I’ve had shingles for the last month, wouldn’t recommend it, but on the mend now,’ he added.

The Case for a Reset Cut
A buzzcut is often less about style and more about intent. It’s simple, low-maintenance, and for a lot of men, a way to reset – whether that’s after a busy period, a lifestyle shift, or just a desire to strip things back.
In Sheeran’s case, it aligns with what he describes as a fresh start. And while it’s a departure from his signature look, it’s arguably the most practical haircut going: no styling, no upkeep, no guesswork.
