SCOTT EASTWOOD TURNED 40 this year, and like most guys, he’s picked up some mileage along the way. “Things hurt more,” he admitted to MH’s Strong Talk team, muscle scientist Dr. Pat Davidson and MH fitness director Ebenezer Samuel, C.S.C.S. “Getting out of bed hurts more.”

Sure, some things have changed from when he graced the cover of MH in 2017—Eastwood admits that he focuses more on recovery modalities after exercise to make it just a bit easier to bounce back—but largely, he’s aimed to stay consistent. He says he keeps up a busy fitness routine, with strength training, jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, swimming and yoga. Still, he acknowledges that over the last few years, he’s considered supporting his body even more with testosterone.

“You reach a point, where you go, ‘Oh, do I need to do that now?’” Eastwood says. “I’m thinking about it right now, being 40, and especially in Hollywood.”

Eastwood explores the topic with Samuel and Davidson in the full episode, while also sharing more about his recovery habits, longevity and his career, and his next film, the World War II action thriller Lucky Strike.
