In the world of high-performance training, there tends to be a lot of talk about output. Often, it’s that final bit of effort that can elevate things to a PB. When it comes to motoring, Italian marque Abarth – the performance arm of Fiat – has been chasing that same high for more than seven decades. With its new 600e Competizione, the House of the Scorpion has produced the most powerful Abarth ever to roll off the production line: a compact, strong and capable all-electric SUV that’s just as comfortable on the commute as it is on more exciting journeys.
Pure precision
Beneath the surface, the 600e Competizione’s specs are sure to win over even internal-combustion purists. The electric powertrain boasts a 280hp motor – a welcome jump from similar models – as a result of Abarth’s in-depth testing with Stellantis Motorsport. It’s a classy touch from a brand that made its name with agile, high-performing race cars: the 600e Competizione’s development programme saw a new electric motor built with data directly obtained from real Formula E bench tests. That said, true athletes know that power is useless without stability, which is why Abarth has integrated a Torsen limited-slip differential – a mechanical brain that manages torque to help ensure you can attack corners with surgical precision and total grip, while remaining pinned to the tarmac.
Total comfort
Inside, the 600e Competizione’s cockpit is like a high-end recovery suite, with ergonomic Sabelt racing seats providing ideal lateral support. Meanwhile, a 10.25-inch central touchscreen keeps you connected on long journeys and heated front seats offer a welcome touch of luxury when sheltering from the cold.
For those raring for their next adventure, the 600e Competizione can access thousands of public charging points through Free2move Charge – all you need is the app. This car is proof that the inevitable move to electric doesn’t mean leaving the excitement behind.
Spec check:
- Quick off the mark - Abarth says the 600e Competizione can hit 62mph in just 5.85 seconds, bringing serious power to everyday driving.
- Ready to roam - With a range up to 207 miles, the 600e Competizione is designed to handle daily commutes and longer adventures alike, with impressive all-electric capability (WLTP combined range).
- Made for momentum - Abarth quotes a 124mph top speed for the 600e Competizione, blending electric pace with genuine performance-car credibility.
