LOOKING GOOD ON the golf course has never been easier, and while you may never strike the ball like Scottie Scheffler, you can at least look the part. While shorts do have a time and place, if you truly want to be the most stylish golfer on the course, putting on some of the best golf pants is the way to go, and thanks to the constant evolution of golf clothing brands, we're encountering some of the best active wear to date. That also means stellar golf shirts, golf shoes, and yes, golf shorts, too.

In 2026 it’s time to ask more from our pants. They shouldn't just look amazing on the green, they should also be a dream to play in, and thanks to performance features like four-way stretch, UPF+ protection, water-resistance and more, it’s now a reality. Couple those features with a heavy leaning towards style and you will be looking as good as you feel—cool, calm and collected, whether it's the first tee or the last hole—and that includes the nineteenth green and beyond.

Best Golf Pants

When creating our guide of the best golf pants, we tested the functionality of each one by playing at least a full round of golf. After playing, we also took into account each pant's style, especially when it comes to versatility in wear. The goal was to find a pair of performance-driven slacks you can wear right off the course and into your other weekend plans.

If you wish to nail every shot in your next game, set aside your summer pants and invest in the good stuff. Regardless of what type of golf pants you're after, there's sure to be a stylish and comfort-driven pick in here for you. And you may even luck out with something that can not only attack the course, but give you fashion points in the office or protect you from the elements as you get out on a boat this summer.

What to Consider

Materials

Most golf pants are made of fabrics that have a level of stretch and moisture-wicking, however each pant will have its own way of putting those features together. For example, sometimes a golf pant is made to prioritize being lightweight and cooling, so the fabric might lose a little durability and softness in the design process. On the flip side, a brand might want to make a golf pant that's sturdy and comfortable (almost like a chino pant), meaning it might be a little heavier and trap more heat.

Fit

Golf pants are usually constructed to have more room in the seat and quads, so if you like a slim-fit cut you can go and buy a slim-fit golf pant and still get the look you like while having extra space already built in. A classic fit is going to be a near straight fit, which some of our editors prefer since the cut can present a cool throwback look when done right. A classic fit will almost always have the most amount of room in the legs and seat. In our honest opinion, we find a tapered golf pant best for most guys. It's slimming in all the right areas while still providing space where you need it most. A tapered golf pant is also going to look stylish when worn off the course after a round of play. In terms of an athletic fit pant, we only recommend this cut of golf pant if you are already wearing athletic fit jeans and pants.

Color

When building your golf wardrobe (a big part of the game), start with dark colors such as black, navy, and grey. These colors will easily match with what's already in your closet and can be worn off the course. Lighter colors like white and salmon are more fun to play with and look sharp when put together correctly—but they're likely not as versatile to match with what's already in your wardrobe.

Versatility

Unless you're competing in golf tournaments or playing multiple times a week, golf pants should provide versatility in wear off the course. We curated all our best golf pants with consideration to lifestyle use. That means each pant we recommend is going to be acceptable on some level to wear around when not playing. Some of these pants we recommend have more versatility than others, though. The golf pants from Lululemon, Rhone, and TravisMathew are going to be most acceptable to wear outside of golf.

How We Selected

While I may not be the every weekend player that some of you are, the one thing I am is a stylish guy, so as I started my search for the best golf pants on the market in 2026, I did my thorough due diligence to make sure each pair earned a spot on this list.

I also consulted with our resident golfer on staff, Senior Gear and Reviews Editor Ryan Brower, for his favorite pants he loves to play in as well. To narrow down our favorites, we evaluated golf pants based on quality, performance, (obviously) style, and price point. We then looked into what each golf pant does exceptionally well. Lastly, we considered golf pants that have gained long-term praise from the golf community over years. Looking at all of those factors, we were able to assemble our list below. Read on for the very best in slacks made for chips, drives, putts, and more.

Open To Close Pant

Pros

  • Can be worn in multiple environments outside of golf
  • Made with four-way stretch fabric
  • Comfortable cut
  • Good for playing in hot weather

Cons

  • May not be as wrinkle-resistant as others on the list

Drum roll please. The top golf pant prize goes to TM's Open to Close Pant, our runaway favorite the past few seasons. Roomy and versatile without sacrificing a sharp look, these pants tested through the roof. We loved the fit where motion was needed most, like the quads and the seat. They boast an ideal amount of stretch and blend breathability with durability. That means, even on a hot day playing the back nine in South Florida, you're going to be comfortable and looking prime. The stylish silhouette looks good with everything from a vibrant golf polo to a buttery henley.

There's more to these dynamic pants. We played courses from the American South to Scotland in these slacks, trying them out not only in various climates but both on the links and in the office. The results? You can wear 'em from sun up to sun down, no matter what’s on the agenda. The pant is a match made in heaven for the modern man's wardrobe, and it holds up exceptionally well after each washing cycle.

In terms of what color to pick, we recommend the heather black pair—it's sharp and will match the most with what you've got in your wardrobe. But really, you may want a spare pair in a different color after a game or two wearing them.

Best Office-to-Course Golf Pants

Bonobos Performance Link Pants

Pros

  • Tons of colors and fits available
  • Color stays rich after multiple washes
  • Athletic cut fits great for guys with muscular legs
  • Can wear as an office pant

Cons

  • Secured waistband can be difficult to adjust at times

There's a lot to like with the Bonobos Performance Link Pants, from the plurality of color options to the sustainably-minded recycled polyester fabric. This is an easy go-to golf pant outfitted with moisture-wicking and UV resistance, making them great in the humidity, sun, or both. No matter how many times we threw these rich and vibrant colorways in the wash, there was never any loss of pop. That's a great feature as depending on the color you choose, these pants can really make a statement (and afford some eclectic matching opportunities).

We've tried the athletic fit and were throughly impressed with the amount of space provided in the quad and the seat. You can also get these pants in other types of fits, but we think these shine the brightest in the athletic fit category. Like any good golf garment, the look screams formal, but the functionality is ever-present.

Best Jogger-Style Golf Pants

Vuori Sport Fleet Jogger Pants

Pros

  • Feels so soft on the legs, almost like second skin
  • Can double as a travel pant
  • Snug ankle fit prevents excess fabric from flapping around
  • Zippered pockets fit scorecard or tees

Cons

  • May not be country-club approved

Is there a sweet spot between comfort and performance? The Fleet Jogger Pants from Vuori offer a vehement yes. Our editors were aglow about the feel of the fabric, clutching comfortably like a second skin. No restriction. No tightness. Just some four-way stretch paving the way for twisting and turning as you unleash that powerful drive or long iron shot. And let’s be real, it’s nice when a pair of golf pants can double as travel pants.

These pants separate from the pack in offering zippered pockets as opposed to the more conventional drop-in ones. That affords some peace of mind as you're on the go, not having to worry about losing a glove or scorecard as you motor your way from hole to hole. We’re all about the snug fit around the ankles, as it prevents excess fabric from flapping around and causing distractions while you’re getting ready to sink that six-foot putt. Some golfers might find these too casual for some clubs, but the work rate of these pants more than makes up for that.

Most Comfortable Golf Pants

Adidas Ultimate 365 Golf Pants

$90ADIDASAlso Consider

Pros

  • Extremely comfortable
  • Offered in lengths of 30 to 34
  • UPF-protection
  • Water resistant
  • Ideal for hot summer days

Cons

  • White color is very revealing
  • Pills faster than others

If comfort is your deciding factor, then you’ll be hard pressed to find a better pair than the Ultimate 365 pants. Their comfort largely comes down to their durable stretch-fit twill fabric that even features a water-resistant finish with just enough four-way stretch to ensure great flexibility.

But, what makes them even better is their cut, and while they are listed as a regular fit, they taper from the knee down, giving them a more modern look with premium feel. They’re also one of the better choices for scorching summer days, too, as their breathability and UPF-protection help keep you cool all round long. While the pockets are somewhat on the more shallow side, they can still hold tees, gloves, and a scorecard. If you’re playing in inclement weather, hot weather, or just want something super comfy, these are the ones to go with.

Under Armour Drive Pants

Now 20% Off

Pros

  • Moisture-wicking and water-resistant
  • Bend and flex with each swing
  • Tons of colors available
  • Great fit for guys who have big quads

Cons

  • Popular colors tend to sell out fast

While competitive, golf is a peaceful sport, an escape from the bustle of the workday. Keep it that way with these light-as-a-feather pants that look sharp and never chafe. The sun might be blazing, but the Drive Pants actively pull moisture away from your skin, limiting sweat marks, even when the pressure’s on. The pants can also come in handy when the sky opens. Thanks to their water-resistance, the fabric is engineered to repel rain instead of soaking it up like a sponge. That's great news for golfing nuts who prefer not to be deterred by the weather forecast.

Our editors like the athletic cut because it fits like a glove without being too tight. We also appreciate that the pants are made with a stretch waistband, which means no pinching at the waist as you’re swinging for the green. Best of all, this pair won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

Best Slim-Fit Golf Pants

Lululemon ABC Slim-Fit Golf Trousers

ABC Slim-Fit Golf Trousers

Pros

  • Incorporates ventilated gusset for breathability
  • UPF 40+ rating
  • Cuffs have reflective detailing for nighttime visibility
  • Tapered look offers flattering fit

Cons

  • Pricey, but will fabric won't wear and tear easily

Most men who know Lululemon are familiar with the brand's wildly popular ABC Pant. This version is essentially the golf-ification of that beloved pair of trousers, an impossibly comfortable garment that touts space and stretch. The athleisure brand has outdone itself here, creating a pair of slacks made for big swings. The only complaint? They're not cheap. But if you take golf seriously and want to run the course, go with this pant.

The list of features alone is a lengthy one. Let's start with the an integrated ventilated gusset, which allows for circulation in the crotch area and zero moisture buildup (win and win, for those keeping score). It’s also made with UPF 40+ rating, so those who prefer protective clothing for their skin will find these worth a look.

Our style editors are all about the tapered look. Flattery comes naturally here, as the fabric follows the organic contours of your glutes and thighs. Form-fitting while offering enough leeway for comfort and mobility, the trousers stop at nothing. Other notable features include reflective cuff details, elastic panels on the waistband and accessible drop pockets to carry your golf balls. Bonus points for being water-resistant, as you don't always want to pause the game just because of some sprinkle from the skies.

Slim-Fit Stretch Golf Pant

Pros

  • Comfortable tapered cut
  • Low wrinkling
  • Plenty of colors to choose from
  • Moisture-wicking

Cons

  • Not as long of a lifespan as other pants on this list

We've said it before and we'll say it again: Amazon Essentials' golf apparel is the real deal. It's not the most advanced golf apparel in the game, but when you consider the pieces are made with quality performance blends and offered at a low price point, it's easy to recommend them as one of the best grab-and-go golf brands around. Bargain has a name on the links and it goes by Amazon Essentials.

Pro tip: Buy this pair of flattering stretch-fit pants above and then match them with a high performance golf polo (like a Lululemon or an RLX polo). It's a smart way of adding a solid pant and an elite polo for under $150 total.

Do not mistake affordability for bottom shelf functionality. The pants maintain excellent craftsmanship. The material is moisture-wicking and wrinkle-resistant, ensuring you stay cool while still looking put-together. Plus, there’s an additional fifth pocket, perfect to stash markers and tees. We’ve worn these pants year round because they feel super comfortable and look classic, whether you’re wearing for style or sport.

Best Jet-Set Golf Pants

Rhone Commuter Pant - Classic

Commuter Pant - Classic

Pros

  • Perfect for all-day go
  • Comes in lengths of 30, 32, 33
  • Excellent commuting pants
  • Washing machine safe

Cons

  • Not dryer or iron approved
  • Over $100

We’re big fans of Rhone and especially its performance-based apparel (which are phenomenal choices for frequent flyers), which is why we needed to put its commuter pants in the classic cut on this list, as they are the best choice possible for guys going from the tees to the tarmac in style.

These lifestyle pants are built for versatility: office settings, after work drinks, commuting (hence the name), and the golf course (the brand even lists that in the product description). Thanks to their flex-knit fabric, you get supreme mobility with fantastic four-way stretch which are designed to keep up with you all day long, sun up to sun down. While they are also offered in a slim cut, we prefer the classic styling as that version restricts movement way less on the fairways (you don’t want tighter materials to mess with a perfect back swing).

eb66 Performance Five-Pocket Pant

Pros

  • Super flexible
  • Boasts a formal style that's admissible at plush country clubs
  • Available in unique light and neutral tones
  • Wicks away sweat

Cons

  • On the expensive side, but the price matches it premium feel

One thing’s for certain: Peter Millar makes top-tier golf attire, and this five-pocket pant is a prime example. It has the right amount of performance features, including moisture-wicking technology and two-way stretch. Translation? Sweat won't affect your game and you'll be as nimble as ever, whether you're going for an all-time long drive or wiggling your way out of the rough. And since it boasts a classic look, you can wear this style right off the course and out to brunch or the movies.

We tested the infinity color option, but the pant is available in a bunch of unique light and neutral tones that range from cream to sand. No matter which you decide on, they have a formal style that makes them admissible for golfing at most private country clubs. Although one might argue that the price is a little steep, the quality of the pant is super deluxe. Even after two years of regularly golfing in this pant, it still looks and feels as good as new.

Keep your eye on the site, as some colors are occasionally subject to some serious sale prices.
