  • Amazon just announced that this year’s Prime Day will be held from Tuesday, June 23, through Friday, June 26.
  • Some of its most popular models, including the Forerunner, Fenix, and Venu, are already seeing substantial price cuts.
  • Save nearly 40% on select dash cams and hiking gear as well.

WE TEST PLENTY of fitness trackers and smartwatches here at Men's Health, but when it comes to outdoor enthusiasts, one has regularly stood out in our trials—Garmin. While an Apple Watch or a standard Fitbit can cover the basics, we prefer Garmin watches for more adventurous workouts. Hiking, rock climbing, and trail running all fit under that umbrella, and Garmin's rugged line of watches fits the bill.

Garmin's watches do tend to run you a bit more, but you get what you pay for. Still, it might not be within everyone's preferred price range—until now. Amazon just officially announced dates for this year’s Prime Day. Its biggest savings event will run from Tuesday, June 23, through midnight on Friday, June 26. We’re already seeing plenty of early deals trickle through, with Garmin being a major highlight of Amazon’s early deals.

Editor-tested and approved Garmin smartwatches are up to 52 percent off. This includes some of our favorite hand-tested devices, such as the Fēnix 7X Pro Solar, which is now over $350 off.

There are also substantial price cuts on older models, but they're not markedly different than some of the newer versions we've tested. Below, we outlined some of the best summer sales on Garmin Watches.

Prime Day Garmin Deals

By far the best deal is over $400 off the Epix Pro (Gen 2) Sapphire Edition, which is now 42% off. The waterproof watch is built with the adventurous in mind and features a bright AMOLED display, a built-in flashlight, and 30 hours of battery life. The Standard Gen 2 Epix Pro is also on sale for over 50 percent off, and just $330. One thing to note is that this particular model is refurbished, but Amazon's Renewed Store has a robust quality assurance program (in addition to Amazon's typical stellar return policy). At this price, it's worth it.

We're amped up for golf season, and now's a great time to nab one of our favorite golf watches, the Approach S12, considering it's just $150. The S12 features a whopping 30 hours of battery life and comes preloaded with 42,000 courses from around the globe.

As mentioned, there are a few non-smartwatch deals, too. If you're in the market for a new dash cam—a solid investment that could potentially save you thousands down the line—the Mini3 Dash Cam is now over 30 percent off on Amazon (a 30-day low). It's ultracompact, easy to set up, and features intuitive voice control. Avid hikers should also consider the Garmin InReach Mini 2 while it’s nearly 40 percent off. The emergency satellite communicator serves as a backup device to your phone when you're venturing out into the great outdoors.
